Christmas Day is fading away

My Christmas started on the 14th I arranged a get together with some Friends and Neighbour's for a Local Pub. We exchanged gifts and Card best of all a good old natter and catch up.It took 3hrs and it put me in the Christmas Spirit.
Another Art Party which was fun we were all asked  to bring a painting that we liked doing. Guess what only two Paintings were on display. But I got a lot of good feed back and now it's hanging up with pride in my Study.I am so glad that I brought it to the Party.

I also had time to visit my Friend who had moved into a Brand New House. She is so Happy and loves her surroundings. I am going to help her in the Spring to build a Rockery in her front Garden.

On Christmas  morning I went to visit my elderly Neighbour in a Care Home with his Daughter. We had Ham Sandwiches, Mince Pie and Chocolate Biscuits, finished by several cups of tea. He had a read of his cards and loved his presents. The Staff is wonderful  there very kind and helpful.

My lovely Daughter Karen was with us on Christmas day she is such good fun. We always have fun with Meringue's. But this year I made Choux Pastry Cygnets  for us to assemble on Christmas  after the Queen's Speech. I made the necks too big The body was too small and the cream was too thick.
The heads were falling off' then the wings were drooping .Better luck next time.

Its going to be Gingerbread People next time. Ha Ha!

Wishing you all a really healthy and happy New Year in 2015.

Worry looks around. Sorry looks back,Faith looks up and Hope looks forward.
Think big thoughts, but relish small pleasures.

See you all I will be back soon.xx

Christmas is around the corner.

At last I am in the Christmas mood.  I can smell the Pine Christmas tree all decorated and lots of colour. I have  bought my Gammon and Turkey Crown for Christmas day.  I love Cooking  and had some friends for Lunch on Monday. I got up early at 7 am and started preparing,I made a Turkey and ham pie.  Then I made potato and leek soup as they are Diabetic's. ( no sugar) I had made a fresh  fruit, blueberries and raspberries trifle.I added whipped double Cream on top.
I had a lot of compliments about my cooking.

Yesterday I met my two best friends for lunch at the Garden Center. We exchanged pressies and cards. We had a three hour lunch I suppose that works out one hour each.Ha Ha!

To day was my last Art class for this year. We were allowed to choose to do what we liked.
We all did a lot of talking and  eating cake and chocolate biscuits.  We were very relaxed and happy.
We are all meeting up on the 18th it's party time. But we have to bring one piece of Art work with us to discuss?  that should be fun.

Night Night everyone time to finish my card writing.x

Getting ready for Christmas 2014

Getting very excited, but I can't find my Christmas Cards that I bought in Balmoral in Scotland. So the search is on. 20 days left to Christmas. Busy at my Art class and I have done dome stunning Christmas scenes. The best ever.  All my friends are waiting patiently to receive one from me. They say that they are collector pieces and they are going to cash them in for their pension fund. They say they are more valuable than rare stamps.

This is only a sample. More to follow! Watch this space.

Hello Twitters, Me again after several weeks. My computer had many viruses but no swine flu.
My art had finished till 8Th September, but out art teacher is taking us outdoors in August. My favourite place is Kenilworth Castle, Yardley old Church and painting inside churches. A rare opportunity for us.
Busy getting a new garden fence done,I painted the fence in Goose Green Dropping my neighbour wasn't amused, but he liked it as it blends in with the garden.
I am still having a problem with my tooth, my appointment was cancelled on Monday, re booked for to-morrow fingers crossed. My Dentist hurt his back.
O' dear I can hear a drip on my front window, heavy rain has made it's way through. Must get my tiles checked asap. Another little job.
Going swimming this morning then heard a grinding noise coming from the rear of the car I had to turn back and come home.
I also had it taxed to day at Post Office My Insurance wasn't the right page? so I had to return home and get it sorted, another trip.
So you can see why I can't Twitter too much these days. I am a busy Bee. Bye Bye.

naughty computer

The computer swallowed Karen.
Yes,honestly it's true!
She pressed, Control and enter'
And disappeared from veiw.

It devoured her completely
The thought makes me squirm,
She must have caught a virus
Or been eaten by a worm:

I've searched through the recycle bin
and files of every kind.
I've used the Internet,
But nothing did I find.

In desperation I asked 'Jeeves'
My searches to refine.
The reply from was negative,
Not a thing was found 'on line'

So, if inside your 'Inbox'
My daughter you should see,
Please 'Copy,scan and paste her
and send her back to me.

Catching up

Hi everyone, I returned from holiday and had to rush to get 4 painings ready to enter the Art Exhibition. We are a growing group of amateur Artists. The display looked wonderful when we displayed the paintings. My best friend has sold 2 paintings so far she is delighted. I told her she is an Artist because she has sold her paintings.
While on holiday in the South Downs I had to buy some groceries so I checked my bill before leaving the store, to my surprise I had been charged for swimming trunks. I did get a refund, so check your receips to see what extra's you have been charged for?
I went to a car Boot on sunday to find it had shrunk in size. I also passed a large car boot about 3 miles and it had grown in size. So on the way home I had to call on the other boot. They were signs SELL FOR FREE- they were no charge for the pitch, only 50p car parking fee. People Power and credit crunch the sign of the times. So everyone was happy better than £10 a pitch.
BYE for now.

Holiday in the South Downs

I have spent 17 days in the heart of the South Downs, the peace and tranquillity was the best you could wish for. The site was surrounded by trees it was so vast I kept getting lost. So I had to buy a map. Went to visit Chichester and do a bit of exploring the area. At the Catherdal there was a Perigan Falcon and some chicks on the Tower it caused a lot of excitement.
Another great day out was at Arundel Ancient Castle and grounds lovely setting and great veiws from the Castle. Great day out.
Visited Midhurst and Petersfield, lots of wonderful buildings. I had a paddle in the sea at East Wittering and Selsley I had a great time.
So many events I spent a great day at Petworth House and Gardens 2,000 acres and a large Lake. The highlight of my day when I spotted my first little mole it was beautiful.
Another great day was Windchester, got the park and ride bus excellent way,no parking worries and time saving.
Bogner Regis very disappointed it needs a lot of up dating, very tired the credit crunch had arrived.
Best day out was at Portsmouth saw HMS.Victory,HMS.Warrier,Mary Rose and a tour around the Harbour.Good value for money.
Sadley my holiday was coming to an end made my way to Home Sweet Home.

Where will my next Holiday be?
